Cleanstay Services: Terms of Service
Last updated: September 2025
The following Terms of Use (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of the Cleanstay Services website (www.cleanstayservices.com) including any content, functionality, and services offered on or through the platform (“Site”).
These Terms form a binding agreement between you (“you,” “user,” “Cleaner,” “Agency,” “Host,” or “Property Manager”) and Cleanstay Services LLC (“Cleanstay Services,” “we,” “our,” or “us”).
By accessing or using the Site, creating an account, or clicking “Accept,” you confirm that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms, our Payment Policy, Privacy Policy, and any additional policies or guidelines referenced herein. If you do not agree, you must not use our Site.
Our Customer Support team is available if you have any questions. You may contact us via the support page on the Site.
Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years old (or the age of majority in your jurisdiction) to use Cleanstay Services.
If you are between 13–17 years old, you may only use the platform under the supervision of a parent or legal guardian.
Use of the Site is prohibited for anyone under 13.
By using the Site, you represent that you meet these requirements and that you are not subject to restrictions under U.S. or international trade laws.
Key Definitions
Cleaners/Agencies: Independent service providers offering cleaning or related services through Cleanstay Services.
Hosts/Property Managers: Clients who purchase services via the platform.
Bookings: A confirmed order for services between a Host and a Cleaner.
Advertising Add-Ons: Optional visibility upgrades (Featured Ad, Banner Ad, Spotlight Ad) available for purchase by Cleaners.
Memberships: Subscription plans that grant Cleaners access to list and promote services on the platform.
Commission: Cleanstay Services charges a 15% commission on completed bookings.
Service Page: The listing page where Cleaners describe services, pricing, and terms.
Overview (In Simple Terms)
Only registered users may list or book services.
You agree to provide accurate, up-to-date information when registering and using the Site.
Cleaners determine their own service pricing and availability.
Hosts pay in advance for bookings; payments are held securely and released upon service completion.
Cleaners are expected to honor bookings. Repeated cancellations may lead to suspension.
All transactions must be processed through Cleanstay Services. Off-platform payments are strictly prohibited.
Cleanstay Services retains the right to use published reviews and success stories for marketing purposes.
Cleaner Ratings and Accountability
The Cleaner’s rating is based on reviews submitted by Hosts or Cleanstay Services’ Pro Team. Maintaining high ratings helps Cleaners unlock higher account levels and additional benefits. However, consistently low ratings may lead to restrictions or suspension of a Cleaner’s account (see “Levels” section).
All Cleaners are responsible for carrying sufficient liability insurance to cover potential risks associated with providing cleaning services.
If you register as a Verified Cleaner on Cleanstay Services, the following additional terms apply:
You may be required to provide documents such as valid ID, business license, insurance, tax information, and background check consent.
Verified Cleaners must only offer services compliant with applicable local and international regulations.
Failure to submit required documentation within a reasonable timeframe may result in restricted or suspended account access.
Services
Cleaners may create and list cleaning services on Cleanstay Services, subject to compliance with our Terms. Services may be removed for violations, including but not limited to:
Fraudulent, illegal, or misleading services
Copyright/trademark violations
Obscene or inappropriate content
Spam or low-quality services
Activities that harm Cleanstay Services’ reputation or violate laws
Services permanently removed for violations cannot be restored.
Service Requirements:
Each Service must have an appropriate image (and optional video) that accurately represents the service offered. Repeated failure to deliver at the quality level shown may result in account suspension.
Services may include approved add-ons, which must be directly related to the base service.
Services misleading to Hosts or created in restricted categories may be removed.
Service Add-Ons
Cleaners may offer add-ons at an additional cost, provided they are relevant to the booked service. Examples include:
Extended duration of cleaning
Deep-cleaning extras (e.g., carpet, windows, appliances)
Specialty services
Service add-ons that violate Cleanstay Services’ Terms may be removed.
Levels
Cleanstay Services operates a performance-based level system. As Cleaners gain experience and positive reviews, they unlock benefits such as better visibility, marketing support, and advanced tools.
Account levels are determined by:
Verification status
Documents provided
Consistent delivery and customer satisfaction
Ratings and reliability metrics
In some cases, higher levels (such as Top Rated Cleaner) require manual review and/or skill assessments.
Violations of our Terms may result in loss of level status, restrictions on account growth, or removal of benefits.
Pro Cleaners
Pro Cleaners are carefully vetted professionals recognized for exceptional performance and service quality.
Application is open to all Cleaners, but selection is based on experience, reliability, and verified professionalism.
Pro status is subject to ongoing review. Failure to maintain high standards (e.g., ratings, on-time delivery, low cancellations) may result in loss of Pro status.
Custom Offers
Cleaners can send Custom Offers tailored to specific Host requests. These offers must include:
Service description
Price
Delivery timeframe
Custom Offers must comply with Cleanstay Services’ Terms.
Hourly Contracts
Eligible Cleaners may offer hourly contracts to Hosts.
Hourly Contracts must state the hourly rate and estimated duration (minimum of 2 hours).
Cleaners must submit accurate Weekly Reports for completed hours.
Hourly Contracts are subject to the same quality standards as standard Bookings.
Booking and Work Guidelines for Cleaners
Purpose of Task-Based Jobs
Cleaners are booked for specific cleaning tasks such as guest turnover cleanings, post-renovation services, or deep cleaning. Each job is defined by its scope and expected duration.
Implementation
When a Host requests a cleaning, they outline the job requirements and estimated hours. Cleaners may accept or negotiate the scope and duration before confirming.
Hourly Limits and Adjustments
Defining Hours: Hosts and Cleaners agree on the estimated number of hours for each job.
Adjustments: If the actual work requires more or fewer hours than estimated, both parties must communicate and agree before or during the job.
Flexibility: Changes in requirements (e.g., adding tasks) must be discussed and approved by both parties.
Documentation: Cleaners should record actual hours worked to ensure transparency and accurate billing.
Contract Management
Termination: Either party may cancel a booking with at least 24 hours’ notice via the Booking Page.
Suspension: A Host may pause a booking with 24 hours’ notice instead of canceling outright.
Inactivity: Bookings with no activity for 3 months will be automatically terminated.
Reporting and Payment
Work Reporting: Cleaners must log hours upon job completion, including notes or supporting files if needed.
Payment: Hosts are required to pay for completed work under the agreed terms, as detailed in the Payment Policy.
Accuracy: Hours reported must match actual time worked. Extra hours beyond the agreed hourly limit will not be compensated unless approved in advance.
Deadline: Weekly hours must be submitted by Sunday 23:59 UTC. Unreported hours will not be eligible for payment.
Time Management
Adherence to Agreed Hours: Cleaners should complete jobs within the agreed timeframe.
Communication: If additional time is needed, Cleaners must inform the Host before continuing.
Payment Cycle: Payments are processed in accordance with the weekly billing cycle.
Project Milestones
Services or Custom Offers above $100 may include up to six milestones, with a minimum of $50 per milestone.
Each milestone is paid and delivered separately.
If a Host does not approve or request changes within 8 days after delivery, the milestone will be auto-marked as complete.
If a Host fails to pay for the next milestone within 10 days of the last approval, the project will not proceed further.
Service Subscriptions
Eligible Cleaners may offer recurring services through fixed-term subscriptions.
Hosts may cancel upcoming bookings under a subscription before payment is processed.
Cleaners may cancel up to 10 days before the next billing cycle.
Once payment is made, cancellations are governed by the Cleanstay Services Payment and Cancellation Policy.
Delivering Physical Items
Some services may require physical deliverables (e.g., cleaning supplies, towel replacements).
Delivery costs must reflect only the transport and materials provided.
Cleaners are responsible for arranging delivery once the Host provides an address.
Cleanstay Services does not guarantee shipping, tracking, or condition of delivered items.
If available, Cleaners should provide tracking numbers to reduce disputes.
Hosts Basic Responsibilities
Hosts may not offer or request payments outside the Cleanstay Services platform.
Hosts can request Custom Offers that outline their specific requirements.
All services requested must comply with Cleanstay Services’ approved categories and guidelines.
Payments and Bookings
Authorized Use of Funds
When booking on the Cleanstay Services platform, you may only use funds that come from legal, legitimate sources. If your wallet smells even faintly of fraud, you’ll need to take it elsewhere.
Payment Processing
All payments must be made through the Cleanstay Services platform. Fees, taxes, and payment details are outlined in the [Payment Terms].
You may not offer or request off-platform payments.
If someone suggests otherwise, report them immediately to Customer Support.
Recommendation System
We occasionally make personalized suggestions to enhance your experience on Cleanstay Services. These may include featured Cleaners, relevant services, or shiny new listings you didn’t know you needed.
Booking Flow
Creation: A booking is created once payment is confirmed. For hourly contracts, payment of the initiation fee triggers the booking.
Completion:
Standard Bookings are marked as complete once the Cleaner delivers and the Host accepts.
If the Host does not respond within 3 days, the system will auto-complete the booking. Hosts may extend this window by 5 additional days.
For hourly contracts, weekly reports are auto-completed if not disputed within 72 hours.
For milestone-based projects, each milestone is auto-completed after 8 days unless disputed. The project will pause until the next milestone is paid for.
Subscriptions:
Hosts may subscribe to recurring services where available.
By subscribing, you authorize recurring charges via your Cleanstay balance or saved payment method.
Failure to process payment cancels the subscription.
Hosts can cancel future bookings before payment is processed. Cleaners may cancel with 10 days’ notice.
In-Person Services
Certain services require Hosts and Cleaners to meet in person (e.g., property access).
Cleanstay Services does not guarantee the behavior, safety, or suitability of either party.
Both Hosts and Cleaners assume full responsibility for any risks involved.
Hosts are encouraged to maintain proper insurance for their properties.
Booking Delivery and Handling
Cleaners must meet the delivery time specified in their Service or Custom Offer. Late delivery may allow the Host to cancel.
Completed work must be delivered using the Deliver Work button. Misuse of this button—such as clicking it when nothing has been delivered—will result in cancellation, rating impacts, and possibly the dreaded “platform warning.”
Hosts may request revisions if the delivered service does not match the Service Page description or agreed requirements.
All transferred files should be scanned for viruses or malware. Cleanstay Services is not liable for any damages caused by uploaded files.
Reviews and Ratings
Reviews are a core part of the Cleanstay Services community.
Reviews will not be removed unless they clearly violate our Terms.
Only legitimate, eligible bookings can generate reviews. Artificial manipulation of ratings (e.g., fake purchases) will result in account suspension.
Cleaners may not hold back work to demand positive reviews, nor may they pressure Hosts to remove negative ones.
Once posted, reviews are public and permanent (consider it your digital tattoo).
Hosts may choose to publish delivered images or videos as Work Samples on the Cleaner’s Service Page.
Communication and Privacy
Personal contact details (emails, phone numbers, third-party apps) may not be exchanged to bypass the platform.
If personal information is necessary for a booking (like an address for cleaning), it must be exchanged only through the Booking Page.
Dispute Resolution
Cleanstay Services does not guarantee the quality of work performed. However, we do provide dispute resolution tools accessible directly from your Booking Page. Use them when things go sideways—calmly, please.
Security, Privacy, and Fair Use
Phishing and Spam
Protecting our community is a top priority.
You may not publish or send malicious content intended to compromise another member’s account, computer, or device.
Respect the privacy of others: do not send offers, promotions, or unrelated messages outside of Services or Bookings.
Privacy & Identity
Do not share or publish other people’s private or confidential information.
Personal details required for a booking (e.g., property access information) must only be exchanged within the Booking Page.
Cleaners must use Host information solely for service delivery — not for personal use, marketing, or any other purpose.
Users who communicate or transact outside Cleanstay Services are not protected by our Terms of Service.
Authentic Profiles
All profiles must represent a real individual or business.
False identities, misleading information, or impersonation are prohibited.
Your profile must be accurate, complete, and not misleading, offensive, or unlawful.
We may require verification (e.g., ID, phone, or other documents) before granting full access to the platform.
Intellectual Property
We respect intellectual property rights. If you believe your copyright or trademark is being infringed, you may file a claim using our [IP Claims Process].
Fraud and Unlawful Use
You may not use Cleanstay Services for unlawful purposes or illegal activities.
This includes attempts to bypass international sanctions, trade restrictions, or other legal regulations.
Abuse and Account Rules
Multiple Accounts
Each user may have only one active Cleanstay Services account.
Creating additional accounts to bypass rules, gain advantages, or mislead others is prohibited.
Mass account creation or violation of this rule may lead to suspension of all related accounts.
Targeted Abuse
Harassment, abuse, or intimidation of other users will not be tolerated.
Creating multiple accounts for the purpose of harassment is strictly forbidden.
Selling Accounts
Cleanstay Services accounts may not be bought, sold, or transferred.
Disputes and Cancellations
We encourage Hosts and Cleaners to first resolve issues directly through the Resolution Center.
If this fails, you may escalate the matter to Customer Support.
For details on cancellations, refunds, or dispute resolution, see our [Payment Terms].
Content Moderation and Appeals
Cleanstay Services does not actively monitor all content but may review, remove, or restrict content that violates our Terms.
If action is taken against you or your account, you have the right to appeal.
Appeals must be submitted within 6 months of the decision, along with a clear explanation.
If located in the EEA, you may also use certified third-party dispute settlement bodies under the EU Digital Services Act.
Note: The decisions of these bodies are not binding, and Cleanstay Services reserves the right to decline cooperation if a case is already under review elsewhere.
Proprietary Rights and Restrictions
The Cleanstay Services site, apps, design, content, and branding are owned by Cleanstay Services and protected by copyright, trademark, and other laws.
You agree not to:
Copy, modify, or distribute content from the site without permission.
Reverse-engineer or attempt to access our source code.
Remove copyright or proprietary notices.
Use bots, crawlers, scrapers, or unauthorized tools to access or manipulate the site.
Upload harmful content (e.g., viruses, trojans, malware).
Attempt unauthorized access to our systems or disrupt platform operations.
Circumvent or tamper with security measures.
Overload the platform or interfere with other users’ experience.
Use the platform in any way not explicitly permitted by these Terms.
Violating these rules may result in account suspension or permanent removal from the platform.
Ownership and Intellectual Property
Except for the limited right to use the platform as described in these Terms, Cleanstay Services owns all rights, title, and interest in the Site and its content (excluding user-generated content). You may not copy, modify, or create derivative works from our platform. All rights are reserved.
Feedback
If you share ideas, comments, or suggestions with us (“Feedback”), you grant Cleanstay Services a royalty-free, perpetual, worldwide license to use that Feedback. We are not obligated to act on or implement any feedback received.
Confidentiality
Cleaners may receive sensitive information from Hosts (such as property access instructions).
By agreeing to these Terms, Cleaners must:
Treat Host information as strictly confidential.
Not share it with third parties.
Use it only for delivering booked services.
Not copy or reproduce it without permission.
User-Generated Content (UGC)
UGC Definition: Any content uploaded by Hosts or Cleaners (e.g., profiles, service descriptions, reviews, images).
Responsibility: Users are solely responsible for their UGC, ensuring it does not infringe on intellectual property, privacy, or applicable laws.
Reporting: Users may report violating content with proof of ownership; we may remove or disable it.
No Warranty: Cleanstay Services does not guarantee the quality, safety, or legality of UGC or services offered, even if promoted or highlighted.
Rights: By uploading, you confirm you have all necessary rights, licenses, or permissions.
Account Deactivation and Disabling
Cleanstay Services may suspend or permanently disable accounts that breach our Terms, provide low-quality service, or engage in illegal/inappropriate activity.
Disabled accounts cannot buy or sell services, and related content may be removed.
Users may deactivate their account at any time via settings, but remain responsible for outstanding payments.
Deactivating an account cancels all ongoing bookings. Hosts will be refunded and free to rebook with another Cleaner.
Security Features
Users are encouraged to enable available security settings to protect their accounts.
Cleanstay may require proof of account ownership (e.g., ID or documents) before restoring access.
General Terms
Updates to These Terms
We may update these Terms due to:
Changes to the platform or its features.
Security, fraud prevention, or legal compliance needs.
Adjustments to laws, regulations, or industry practices.
By continuing to use the platform after updates are posted, you accept the revised Terms. If you do not agree, you must deactivate your account.
Indemnification
You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless Cleanstay Services, its affiliates, employees, and officers from any claims, damages, or expenses arising from:
Your violation of these Terms.
Your violation of third-party rights (IP, privacy, property, etc.).
Claims related to your profile, service pages, or use of the platform.
Cleanstay reserves the right to manage its own legal defense, even if you are indemnifying us, and you agree to cooperate fully.
16.3 Severability
If any portion of these Terms is determined to be invalid or unenforceable, that portion will be limited to the minimum extent required so that the remainder of the Terms remains valid and in full effect. Cleanstay Services’ decision not to enforce any provision of these Terms does not constitute a waiver of its right to enforce that provision or any other provision at a later time.
16.4 Entire Agreement
These Terms, together with any related policies or guidelines referenced herein, constitute the entire agreement between you and Cleanstay Services with respect to your use of the Site and Services, and supersede all prior or contemporaneous agreements, whether written or oral, relating to the same subject matter.
16.5 Interpretation
Section titles and headings are provided for convenience only and have no legal or contractual effect. The original version of these Terms is in English. If any translation is provided, the English version will prevail in case of conflict. If you are a consumer residing in the EEA, the interpretation most favorable to the consumer shall apply.
